The attractive church of Hubberholme village likes just a few miles from Kettlewell and in the neck of Langstrothdale. It dates from Norman times and is noted for its 16th century rood-loft.

Nearby is a river which has flooded the church at least once so that fish actually swan between the pews! J B Priestley, one of Yorkshire’s best-loved writers, requested that his ashes should be scattered in the peaceful churchyard.

Hubberholme is featured on our 55-minute video Picture Postcard Yorkshire, and can be purchased on line. Click here to find out more.
