Wanting the Canon 5D look?

There's no getting away from the impact the Canon 5D camera has had on the film-making world. Whilst I appreciate that it produces amazing images, I am not a fan of the clumsy accessories it needs to function as a video camera. To me, it doesn't belong in a professional filming environment.

The solution to getting that filmic, shallow depth-of-field (the "Canon 5D look") is in the Panasonic AF101, which is the camera of choice for me. It's a proper video camera which uses stills camera technology to delivery superb HD images.

So in essence, I won't use a 5D - there really is no need to make the shooting day any harder than it should be!
