JVC GY-HM750 Camcorder HD/SD PAL/NTSC
My previous experience with JVC cameras was not good, but having played with this camera at BVE North, I soon realised JVC had really got their act together and produced a very good camera indeed.
The GY-HM750 is a ProHD compact shoulder-mount camcorder ideal for documentaries, events, corporate filming and other location shoots, it offers the industry's fastest shoot-to-edit workflow by recording native HD or SD footage in ready-to-edit file formats on low-cost SDHC memory cards.
The GY-HM750E delivers outstanding 1920x1080 images in a small, lightweight form factor. It records at selectable data rates up to 35 Mbps.
RECORDING MEDIA: SDHC Card.
PICTURE: 720p, 1080p, and 1080i, as well as SD footage (576i).
FILE WORKFLOW: Records to MPEG2 Quicktime files or MP4 for instantly importing to Final Cut Pro or any other edit package (No transcoding!).
PROS: Great for hand-held, fast shooting.
No transcoding or file format issues - records Quicktime for Final Cut Pro.
CONS: Image sensor size is small, meaning a shallow depth of field is harder to achieve.
